And So It's Goodbye From Me

What an incredible journey ...

As I sit here and write this, I realise what an incredible journey the past three and a half years have been. I initially joined Extra Help back in 2013 to help run the Plymouth franchise ...

Winning at the Venus Awards 2015 was a highlight of my Extra Help career!

Winning at the Venus Awards 2015 was a highlight of my Extra Help career!

At the time I didn't realise what a crazy few years lay ahead of me. The Plymouth franchise was busy, busy, busy! There was never a dull day, from visiting clients, interviewing home helpers, networking, troubleshooting and organising.

"I felt so proud when Mark brought the business in May 2016 and wish him continued success with it!"

During my time here I have done a lot. I have travelled the country training new franchisees and attended exhibitions, award ceremonies and events.

The Extra Help team have also raised hundreds of pounds for charity, through networking events, assault courses, walks and the Plymouth Half Marathon. It has been great to give so much back to the community.

I have embarked on some exciting training courses with Extra Help. In 2014, I did my NLP Business Practitioner course and then Dementia Champion training in 2015. Becoming a Dementia Champion has been brilliant. It’s been great to roll out the Dementia Friends training, which helps our franchisees to better support clients and families dealing with Dementia.

The Venus Awards in 2015 and 2016 were incredible! A big thank you to Claire, our MD, for nominating me to win at both the Devon and National finals was fabulous.

It's been a pleasure to work with Claire over the past three years, and we have shared some memorable and fun times. Thank you, Claire!

I am going to miss everyone, Extra Help has such a great team. Our amazing franchisees, Steffi (our blog editor and social media expert), Jayne (our fabulous copywriter) and Rodney and Charlie (the office dogs) to name just a few.

It is now time for me to embark on a new chapter in my life, but I am sure I will stay in touch with everyone from my time with Extra Help.

Until next time ...
