As usual, things in the world of Extra Help are exciting and very busy and I thought I would update you with highlights regarding our franchises and also with news from both Sarah and myself ...
In Plymouth, we are taking on a new member of staff: Samantha Smith. Samantha will be running the Plymouth franchise of Extra Help which is Louise's role at present. Louise is moving into a franchisee support role. We now have sixteen franchise areas in the UK trebling the number that we had this time last year!
Because of our success, we needed someone to take on the role of franchise manager, looking after our existing franchisees and supporting the new ones coming on board. Louise was the obvious choice for this!
We also have a new franchisee to train in August. Extra Help Newcastle is the newest Extra Help franchise and will be run by Emily Banks. She'll be training in Milton Keynes on 7th and 8th August. Emily will also make herself known to everyone as soon as she is trained.
The Milton Keynes franchise recently came back to head office and is currently being run by Sarah Jackson and Peter Lodge (Pete is our franchisee in Bedfordshire Central). Due to unforeseen circumstances Pete is leaving his role in Milton Keynes, but will still be running his Bedfordshire franchise so we'll still be in regular contact with him.
We are actively looking for a replacement for him. The job is 24 hours a week, based in Milton Keynes and the role is to manage the Milton Keynes franchise for us. If you know of anyone who may be interested please put them in touch with Sarah or myself.
Sarah's baby, Demi, will be going into hospital for her second operation on her cleft palate in August so a busy time ahead for Sarah and I'm sure she'll keep us posted on Demi's progress. She's a gorgeous and very brave little girl.
Exciting times for me too as my daughter Sarah is coming home from Australia after successfully completing her second year of Uni at Griffith University in Queensland! She was offered an amazing opportunity of an exchange trip from Plymouth Uni to Australia.
I'm very proud of her as she was still only 18 when she first went. Sarah has a late birthday on 28th August which makes her one of the youngest in her year. She completed the first five months, came home for Christmas and returned at the end of January, this time with her boyfriend in tow.
In April we had the amazing opportunity to visit her in Australia and it was a fantastic trip! I feel a blog post all about our Australian adventures coming on! When Sarah is back, we're having a bit of girly catch up time in Crete for a week; a week of R&R, can't wait!
That's a catch up from us and all our good news, as always if you know anyone who could benefit from the services of Extra Help please give us a call on 0845 618 2904 or click here to send over an email.
Until next time ...
