Following on from last weeks Blog about finders fees we asked Dilshad Hussain, a Business Coach and Mentor, to explain how she became involved with the Extra Help Franchise opportunities ...

Dilshad gained a £500 finders fee earlier this year for introducing us to the group that now operates our Milton Keynes franchise, MK Women and Work. This is what she had to say about why she sourced and facilitated a potential new franchisee:
"Earlier this year, Extra Help had an opportunity to re-sell the Milton Keynes Franchisee which already had a customer base and was generating revenue. I met with Sarah Jackson, the Managing Director of Extra Help, and asked more about this opportunity to best understand the Business potential, how it operates and how it generates revenue".
"I met with Niz Smith, the Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Women and Work, and provided her with some details of this opportunity and asked her if it would benefit the charity by running this franchise as another revenue stream. The charity, were keen to meet the owners of Extra Help. I then organised a meeting between Milton Keynes Women and Work and Extra Help in April. Sarah Jackson presented the Business model and projected forecast for revenue".
"The charity discussed this opportunity and agreed to become the new owners of Extra Help Milton Keynes. As well as generating an additional revenue stream for the charity, it would also mean that job opportunities were made available for our local community. The charity has always provided free training, career guidance and support for unemployed women in Milton Keynes. It therefore made absolute sense to facilitate this discussion".
"Once the charity agreed to the terms and conditions, I was contacted by Sarah Jackson who paid me £500 as a finders fee. So if you would like to earn an additional income please contact Extra Help who will run through their Business Model and what they look for in a potential Franchisee owner".
Extra Help Franchises are available all over the UK. Do you know someone that may be interested in running their own business? Until next time ...
Sarah co-founded Extra Help in 2010, the same year that she became Director of the OakTree Networking company - and she hasn't looked back! Both companies are completely different, however each interacts with the community on a number of levels. Prior to starting Extra Help, Sarah owned her own domestic cleaning franchise which she successfully grew, featuring in the local and national press on many occasions. Working for the NHS at the start of her career gained Sarah invaluable experience in caring within the community - working with the elderly and terminally ill.
