Happy New Year And Welcome To 2014!
Where on earth did that year go?

Extra Help had a fabulous 2013. We trained eight new franchisees and two more are ready for training in January with a number of potential new franchisees in the final stages of making a decision ...
So the sun rises on another year and I'm looking forward to seeing what opportunities 2014 brings my way!
We've also taken on a Manager for the Plymouth franchise, Louise Pen-Collings, who also looks after our newly trained franchisees in her additional role as Franchisee Manager. Louise has been fantastic and has settled into her role amazingly well; we'd be lost without her.
Sarah had her baby, Demi Rose late in 2013. Both Sarah and I moved house - me from Cornwall to Devon and Sarah to another part of Milton Keynes. We finally got new cars through the company, which will be a total godsend with all the driving we do around. It really was about time!
2013 also saw us participate in three franchise exhibitions and we met with lots of people interested in the Extra Help franchise. We've been very lucky, but as I said a few weeks ago, it's not just luck it's hard work, self belief, dedication and a huge amount of passion for what we do.
Every day, I try to take time to say thank you to the Universe for my life and all the wonderful things in it. My three wonderful children are all growing up and finding their own way in the world, my fantastic business partner Sarah, my new house and, of course, Rodney and Charlie, my dogs.
Life hasn't always been easy, Like all of us, I've had my fair share of ups and downs. If you've been a regular reader of our blog, you'll know my Mother was bipolar and heard about how my family faced some exceptional challenges as I was growing up.
Last year, I lost both Dad and Mum within six weeks of each other and that was really tough. Being an only child, it was down to me to deal with it all.
I've had some real financial hardships to deal with too though I'm glad to say that 2013 saw an end to those. What I've learned from it all is that you have to always be moving forward, you should learn from the past (but leave it there) and if you fall, pick yourself up, shake yourself off and start again.
People say "when one door closes another one opens, often brighter and better than the one before"; well that's my experience anyway!
So what does 2014 have in store for me? Who knows, but I bet it will be great! I will finish my coaching course in March 2014. I believe in challenging myself and my thirst for personal growth and knowledge are huge. I will be a fully qualified life and business coach with a level 5 diploma.
Of course, this will be a huge help to Extra Help, but mainly my passion lies with motivating others to achieve their dreams and goals.
Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous 2014!
Until next time ...
