I was ecstatic to win Employee of the Year at the 2015 Devon Venus Awards!
I originally joined the company in May 2013 to assist Claire Robinson, our Managing Director, in the running of the Plymouth franchise. Since then, the franchise has grown to such an extent that we now have over 130 clients in Plymouth and South East Cornwall, with 20 home helpers delivering our services.

In fact, due to the hard work that Claire and I have invested in building the business, Claire has just accepted an offer for the Plymouth franchise, and its new owner, Mark Jensen joined us last week. This proves to our franchisees that our business model not only works but, if they work hard to build their businesses, they could also have the option to resell them in the future.
Since the sale, my new role is to support Claire with franchise sales and the ongoing training and development of our franchisees. The fact that I have also worked within an actual franchise has given me the invaluable experience I need to enable me to support our franchisees effectively, helping them to deal with day-to-day issues and queries.
It gives me immense satisfaction when I see how well our franchisees are doing! They all work so hard and are great ambassadors for the Extra Help brand.
Our team at Head Office is vibrant, friendly and fun; there's always a great, positive atmosphere, which makes going into work a pleasure and never a chore. I feel so lucky to have a job that I feel genuinely passionate about.

The ceremony was fantastic and the award was an important achievement for both Extra Help and myself. Knowing that my effort and hard work is recognised spurs me on to achieve even more!
Extra Help is always keen to develop and enhance our personal growth and career development since joining the company I've become an NLP practitioner which comes in very useful in franchisee recruitment and I also ran the Plymouth Half Marathon last month, raising £430 for CLIC Sargent. What an amazing year it's been!
I am certainly looking forward to the next 12 months.
